Core Therapies

DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy):
An evidence based model shown to be effective for people in crisis, struggling with intense emotionality, conflictual relationships, and problematic behaviors. Learn more about DBT here.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy):
Talk therapy using a brief therapy model (5 -20 sessions) for clients who desire a solution focused approach to quickly improve their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors regarding a specific concern. It is especially helpful for mild to moderate distress related to specific conditions such as insomnia (CBTi), phobias, or chronic pain.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Trauma Informed Therapies:
This treatment is used to help reprocess and desensitize traumatic memory networks that create rumination and suffering. Trauma is stored in the survival networks of the brain making associated memories sticky. Traumatized individuals often repeatedly perceive threats in the present moment via triggers which activate the survival/trauma memory network.

Somatic Experiencing:
A form of therapy aimed at relieving the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other mental and physical trauma-related health problems by focusing on the client's perceived body sensations (or somatic experiences).

Additional Modalities

Clinical Hypnosis:
This therapy is used to supplement and improve outcomes as a part of an integrated treatment plan. Ilicitation of a trance state Is facilitated and beneficial suggestions are then accepted to improve outcomes.

Psychospiritual:
Utilizing both psychological and spiritual methods (such as meditation, yoga, dream-work, breathwork) in a holistic, integrated approach to healing and inner growth.

Psychoanalytic Oriented Therapy:
A close working partnership between therapist and patient. Patients learn about themselves by exploring their interactions in the therapeutic relationship. It involves awareness of the analytic field between analyst and analysand so that meaningful and often challenging unconscious processes are made conscious.

Psychedelic Integration:
Taking the gained insights, emotions, or attitudes from your experience, and processing them into desired areas of your life. Psychedelic integration helps to achieve a sense of “wholeness” clients seek through their set intentions for treatment.

Dreamwork:
An integration of Ullman and Jungian dream work and analysis which requires the dreamer to explore the subjective meaning of their unconscious material while also exploring the collective language of symbols. The dream is overdetermined; having layers of meaning rather than a single correct interpretation.
